• November 2007 – present: Breaking news supervisor for The Associated Press in Denver. Responsible for covering and editing breaking news for an area that includes Colorado and Wyoming.
• November 2010 – May 2012: Editor for Yahoo! Handled user-generated content on a wide variety of topics and published it to the Internet.
• October 2005 – October 2007: Editorial Assistant for The Associated Press in Dallas. Regularly contributed enterprise stories that included photography.
• 2005: Photographer for People Newspapers, a group of eight weekly newspapers in Dallas.
• 2004 – 2005: General assignment reporter/photographer for The Community News, a weekly newspaper in Aledo, Texas, just west of Fort Worth. Beats included the Aledo ISD, the city of Aledo, the city of Willow Park and county government.
• 2005: Photographer for an essay about aging “Rockabilly” stars in the Dallas area.
• 2003 – 2004: Designed the cover and interior of a book of Western “one-liners” and cowboy culture.
• 2002 – 2003: Copy editor for Acorn Alliance Publishing (Kingston, R.I.).
• 2001: Intern at the Daily Camera newspaper in Boulder, Colo. Responsible for covering local news pertaining to world affairs, the environment, business, university events, consumer trends and sports.
• 2001: Photographer for an Internet-based speech therapy project.
